Mount Snow, VT – AbilityPLUS Adaptive Sports invites everyone to join the fun in this year’s ‘Ski/Ride “Til You Drop-A-Thon’ and Après Party with Silent Auction. The fundraiser supporting adaptive snowsports at Mount Snow will be held on Saturday February 4th. Participants will ski/ride as many runs as possible, with each run raising money for AbilityPLUS. Following the day on the slopes, the fun continues at an après party with silent auction beginning at 5:30pm at The Lodge at Mount Snow on Route 100.
“This event is pure fun start to finish!” said AbilityPLUS, AbilityPLUS Executive Director of Programs.
Ski/Ride ‘Til You Drop-A-Thon participants raise money for AbilityPLUS by having friends and family sponsor each run. “The more runs they make, the more money they earn, so it is a friendly competition to get from top to bottom as quickly as possible…” continues , “anyone can register for the ski-a-thon, and everyone is invited to the après party, whether they ski or not. We’ve got great items for people to bid on at the silent auction.” The Ski/Ride ‘Til You Drop-A-Thon is an important fundraiser for AbilityPLUS at Mount Snow, a non profit organization that relies on donations to support their efforts. “We are very proud of the programs we offer to all people with all manner of disabilities. Adaptive sports have such a positive impact on people’s lives, and our programs are accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic circumstances,” AbilityPLUS explains. Among the many programs AbilityPLUS offers, AbilityPLUS at Mount Snow provides programs to area children who, due to their physical and/or cognitive impairments, would otherwise not be able to participate in their school’s weekly ski/ride programs at Mount Snow.
